Shipping Fast Without Breaking Things
How we balance velocity and reliability on every client project — and the four guardrails we never skip.
Shipping Fast Without Breaking Things
Speed without reliability is a vanity metric. Here are the four guardrails we never skip on any client engagement.
1. Trunk-based development
We avoid long-lived branches. Every PR is small, reviewed within hours, and merged the same day.
2. Observability from day one
Sentry, Vercel Analytics, and structured logs are non-negotiable. We don't ship features we can't measure.
3. Feature flags
Every risky change ships behind a flag. Kill switches are a prerequisite, not a nice-to-have.
4. Honest post-mortems
When something breaks — and it always does — we write a blameless doc the same day, not the same week.
